October is #breastcancerawarenessmonth. 🎀
Every October, people all over the world get a lot more intentional about showing their support for everyone affected by breast cancer. If you’ve been wondering how to show support, here are a few tips:
Donate to credible breast cancer support NGOs or research initiatives. Or you can send a card or healthy goodies to anyone you know fighting breast cancer. Offer to help them run some errands or anything at all. It will go a long way. You can also start a fundraiser yourself!
Wear pink! A pink ribbon is an international symbol for breast cancer. Wearing a pink ribbon – or pink clothes – is a great way to show your support for those who are fighting breast cancer. So go ahead and pick out a pink outfit and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Pink nails, pink hair, pink makeup, pink bracelets – pink anything.
Volunteer. Search for local or national volunteer organizations that raise awareness for breast cancer and join in. There are numerous awareness groups to be part off. You can search on the internet or ask around.
Know the facts and share the knowledge! Educate yourself about cancer screenings and all and make it a priority to share these knowledge with others on your social media platforms, at school and other gatherings. It’s important.
Breast cancer awareness can be promoted anywhere. Be it at your workplace, yoga class, religious centres, schools or social media platforms, women and men all over the world need to know more about breast cancer. Let’s paint world pink today!
